Ship My Car provides seamless, reliable service, from easy booking to safe, on-time delivery.
Open, enclosed and non-running vehicles, anywhere in the continental U.S. One person handles your shipment from quote to delivery.
The person who'll handle your shipment will reach out shortly. Your quote will be valid for 7 days. Prefer to talk now? Call 888-368-0139.
We work with a vetted network of carriers running lanes across the country every day, and match your vehicle to a truck that's already going your direction.
That usually means a better price and a faster pickup than booking with a single trucking company, which can only offer the trucks it has.
Every carrier we dispatch is checked for active FMCSA authority, current cargo insurance and a clean safety record before your vehicle is loaded. We verify it. You don't have to.
Tell us the vehicle, the two cities and roughly when. You get a real price — not a lowball number that changes next week.
Request a quote →We match your vehicle to a vetted carrier running your lane, usually within 2–3 days of your booking being confirmed, and confirm the pickup window with you before anything is dispatched.
Your driver coordinates pickup and delivery directly with you. You inspect the vehicle at both ends and sign the condition report.
The standard choice and the most affordable. Your vehicle ships on an open carrier alongside several others. Right for most daily drivers, and how most of our customers ship.
Quote open transport →Fully covered, no road exposure. For classics, exotics, low-clearance vehicles and anything you'd rather not have on an open deck. Available on request: tell us when you ask for a quote and we'll find an enclosed carrier for your route.
Quote enclosed transport →Doesn't start, doesn't run, doesn't matter. We arrange carriers with winch capability. Tell us the condition up front and we'll price it right the first time.
Quote a non-runner →
Sedans, coupes, hatchbacks and everyday drivers, door to door anywhere in the continental U.S. Carriers in our network secure each vehicle with soft tie-downs to protect wheels and finish.
Ship by open carrier, enclosed carrier, or a dedicated single-car flatbed when you want your vehicle to travel on its own.
Open transport is the most affordable way to move an SUV, with enclosed transport available on request.
Minivans, Sprinter and cargo vans, and commercial work vans. Taller vans may need a flatbed or a specific spot on the carrier, so tell us the make and model when you ask for a quote.
Half-ton to heavy-duty pickups. Let us know about lift kits, oversized tires or racks so we can match your truck with the right carrier.
Tractors, small construction equipment and more, by flatbed or step-deck trailer. Available on request: send us the dimensions and weight for a quote.
Not every move crosses the country. For local and regional trips, across Southern California or to nearby states like Arizona and Nevada, we often book a hotshot carrier: a heavy-duty pickup pulling a trailer that holds two or three vehicles.
Common local moves: Los Angeles ⇄ San Diego, Orange County ⇄ the Bay Area, and Southern California to Las Vegas or Phoenix.
Moving many vehicles at once? For manufacturers (OEMs), fleets, rental companies and corporate programs, we can book a dedicated carrier: a full-size car carrier reserved for your load, typically holding 7 to 10 vehicles.
Moving across the country, or sending a car to a college student.
Bought a car from a dealer or private seller in another state? We'll pick it up and bring it home to you.
Round-trip seasonal shipping between the north and Florida or Arizona. Book both directions and lock your rate before the fall rush.
Employee vehicle transport with documentation your HR or relocation team can actually file. How reimbursement works
Dealers and auctions: we're happy to quote on request.
Many employers cover car shipping as part of a relocation package, and you're often the one who books it and gets reimbursed later. We give you clear, itemized documents so your claim goes through the first time.
Need approval before you book? Ask for a written quote and send it to your HR or relocation team first. Relocation and HR teams booking for an employee can request a quote too.
Most of our shipments run coast to coast. We match your vehicle with a carrier already crossing the country on your lane, door to door at both ends.
Up and down the West Coast on I-5: Seattle to LA and LA to Seattle.
Every quote is built from the same handful of factors. Knowing them helps you plan, and helps you spot a quote that's too low to be real.
The biggest factor. Longer trips cost more in total, but the price per mile usually drops as the distance grows.
Trips between big cities on busy interstates are easier to match with a truck. Small towns and out-of-the-way addresses can take longer and cost a little more.
Booking ahead and giving a flexible pickup window opens up more carriers, which usually means a better price. Rush pickups cost more.
Demand shifts through the year. Florida- and Arizona-bound trucks fill up in fall, northbound trucks in spring, and summer is peak moving season.
Larger, taller or heavier vehicles, including most EVs, take up more of a truck's space or weight limit. Mention lift kits, big tires or roof racks up front.
A car that runs drives onto the trailer. A non-runner that still rolls, steers and brakes needs a winch to load, which adds to the cost.
Open transport is the standard and most affordable. Enclosed keeps your car out of weather and road debris and costs more; it's available on request.
Very low cars can't use a standard ramp. They need special ramps or a lift gate, which usually means an enclosed carrier.

No. We quote what carriers in that lane are actually accepting. If a quote sounds too good to be true, it's a number designed to collect your deposit — and you'll hear about a "price increase" once no driver takes the load. Your quote is valid for 7 days. After that, we re-check current carrier rates on your lane and send you an updated price.
Yes, under the carrier's cargo insurance. We verify the certificate before dispatch and will send it to you on request.
It usually takes 2–3 days after your booking is confirmed to assign your driver. Once your car is picked up, coast-to-coast trips typically take 5–10 days, and shorter trips take less. We give you a window, not a fantasy.
Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel by email to info@shipmycarinc.com before your vehicle is dispatched to a carrier. After dispatch, the deposit covers the work already done. The balance is paid to the carrier on delivery. Full terms
Inspect at pickup and delivery and note anything on the Bill of Lading. That document is your protection. If something does happen, we walk you through the claim.
Just a price from someone who'll actually be handling your shipment.
